Marc Bachmanns Fotografie lässt sich vom Rhythmus der Architektur und der von den Bauten ausgehenden Stimmungen leiten. Er sucht die Kontextualisierung der Gebäude mit ihrer Umgebung in klaren Bildern und trotzdem mit einem Hauch von Verspieltheit. Analoger Film ist das Ausgangsmaterial. Dessen Farbe, natürliche Haptik und Echtheit untermalen die Materialität und schafft weiche Verbindungen mit der Struktur. Das Interesse an Bewegung im Bild und das Verständnis für Raum basieren auf Bachmanns Arbeiten als Kameramann.

Marc Bachmann’s photography is guided by the rhythm of the architecture and the moods emanating from the constructions. He seeks to contextualize the buildings with their surroundings in clear images and yet with a touch of playfulness. Analog film is the source material. Its color, natural haptic and authenticity underline the materiality and create soft connections with the structure. Bachmann’s interest in movement within the image and his understanding of space are based on his work as a cameraman.
